Welcome to the latest update for our £25,000 season-long game, UltimateGuru.
Three of the 12 events in the competition have now concluded, and points have been awarded for the World Snooker Championship.
Ronnie O’Sullivan (100 points) won his seventh world title, beating Judd Trump (60) in the final. The old guard John Higgins and Mark Williams were losing semi-finalists and got 30 points each for their backers. Well done if you picked up points!
Amazingly, just three entries have correctly predicted the winners of each event so far, and they each share £3,750 atop of the leaderboard with 300 points.
A further 10 entries sit in tied-fourth place with 260 points, each winning £950 as the contest currently stands.
The million pound dream for 2022 is over, however, with all three of the leaders having selected teams that have been eliminated from the Europa League, which concludes on Wednesday 18 May.
But there’s still so much to play for, with nine events remaining.
We’re likely to see a gigantic shake-up as May progresses, with the Premier League ending on Sunday 22 May and the Champions League finishing on Saturday 28 May, in addition to the aforementioned Europa League.
